ABOUT ME

My name is Dana, and I've been passionate about exercise for as long as I can remember. I started going to the gym when I was around 18 years old. To be honest, I didn't have much of a clue about what I was doing back then - I just wanted to be "skinny" and look a way that wasn't destined for my body type. Fast forward 22 years, and I've had an incredible journey in sports. From Roller Derby to CrossFit to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), I've found true joy in movement, learning, and even competing!

But my journey hasn't always been smooth. I've faced some challenging times in my life, including experiencing two miscarriages and battling with infertility. Over the years I have found that exercise has helped me clear the fog of grief. It gives me space to breathe and a focus when everything else feels overwhelming. Moving my body has become a way to heal both physically and emotionally.

I also live with endometriosis, which brings its own set of challenges. There have been times when I couldn't train as intensely as I'd like, but I've always done what I can to move my body in ways that are comfortable for me. Exercise and training have helped me cope with the symptoms I experience, providing relief and a sense of control over my well-being.

Through these experiences, I've learned that exercise isn't just about aesthetics or looking a certain way. It's about improving your life, enhancing your physical and mental health and even at times coping with grief and illness. This understanding has fueled my passion to help others discover the transformative power of movement.

I'm particularly dedicated to supporting women through all stages of life. I hold a certification in training women during peri and post-menopause. Exercise can play a vital role in managing menopause symptoms, combating weight gain, and reducing bone density loss caused by menopause. I'm committed to helping women navigate these changes, empowering them to feel strong and confident in their bodies.

The reason I exercise and take part in sports is simply because I love it. Whether I'm lifting weights in the gym, hitting pads in kickboxing, or sparring in BJJ, I do it because it keeps my body healthy and strong, and it brings me a sense of peace and inner calm. This is what I want to bring to you! I want my clients to love the exercise they do. By working together, we'll find movement that you enjoy—keeping you energised and excited for your sessions.

I am a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer and a certified Hatton Boxing Instructor. I hold a certification in training menoapusaul women. I hold a sports first aid qualification and am fully insured. In 2024, I achieved my ITEC Extended Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage - a goal I've had for quite a while! I'm now able to offer sports massage services, helping you feel your best when you're training hard. I am also Rock Tape certified to provide sports taping services.
